At Pendle Academy we are proud to follow the ISTD Imperial Ballet syllabus.

Founded over 110 year ago, the syllabus draws upon deep-rooted traditional classical techniques and progressions to provide excellent training that is recognised worldwide.

Classical Ballet is the foundation of all other dance styles, and even if your child doesn't want to be a ballerina when they're older, it will help them to develop their basic dance technique for all of their other classes. It teaches, discipline, strength, muscular awareness, musicality and much, much more...

 

Our ISTD Ballet classes work towards graded exams, however classes can be taken just for fun and experience if a students doesn't wish to go down the exam route. Certain students may also be selected to represent us nationally at the annual ISTD Ballet awards where we have had success in the past.
