Miss Lauren Ellis
Adult Classes, Acrobatic Arts L1 & Festival Choreographer
Miss Lauren is a full time professional dancer/aerialist, based in Manchester and recently returned home as the dance captain onboard Celebrity Millennium. She has worked for four years with Celebrity Cruises and her itineraries allowed her tour Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, South America, Antartica and Asia. She has trained, as well as worked professionally in trapeze, Spanish web and Lyra on both the Celebrity Equinox and Solstice. Before this she trained and toured with Scottish Ballet. As well as this she has a BA degree in Modern Ballet and has all her ISTD and RAD qualifications in Modern, Tap and Ballet up to Advanced 1.
Miss Amy Kirkman
ISTD DDE Ballet, Tap & Modern and IDTA Licentiate Ballet
Amy started dancing at an early age and has always had a passion for performing and a love of choreography, taking part in many dance and theatre productions over the years. She pursued her teaching career by starting out as a student teacher, helping out at her former dance school whist gaining her teaching qualifications. She is now qualified in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern and has also gained her IDTA Licentiate Ballet. She now has 6 years of teaching experience and is excited to be working with Pendle Academy.
Miss Sarah Tilling
ISTD DDE Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatic Arts L1, Little Acorns Pre-School & Festival Choreographer
Miss Sarah began dancing at the age of 2 and spent 6 years as a Junior Associate at the prestigious ‘Northern Ballet School’ in Manchester. During her time there she was able to work with professional companies such as ‘Northern Ballet Theatre’ and ‘English National Ballet', performing in professional productions such as 'The Nutcracker', 'Coppelia' and 'Cinderella'.
Sarah continued her professional training at Preston Dance College gaining her ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Ballet, Tap and Modern whilst also achieving her Advanced 2 ISTD dance exams (AISTD) in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. In her final year she undertook a Foundation Degree in Professional Dance Practice (FDA) at the University of Central Lancashire. Upon graduating Sarah gained 6 years experiencing teaching as a freelance dance teacher before opening Pendle Academy.
Miss Naomi Embury
Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor & Festival Choreographer
Miss Naomi began dancing at a young age, studying a variety of genres including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Acrobatics as well as competing at festivals.
At the age of 11 she went on to train at Elmhurst Ballet School and then further developed her training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study a BA in Modern Ballet at age 16.
She found her passion for teaching when she began teaching for the Conservatoire and Scottish Ballet's associate programmes.
Miss Naomi is qualified in Progressive Ballet Technique and also has a passion for choreography.
Miss Ronnia Ashworth
ISTD DDE Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatic Arts L1 & Little Acorns Pre-School
Miss Ronnia has been dancing since the age of 3 experiencing different genres such as Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Acrobatics.
She pursued her teaching and love for dance at Preston's College where she gained full teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Modern and a Foundation Degree in the Private Sector.
She is also an exercise to music instructor as well as a Acrobatic Arts teacher.
She has recently gained her Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Professional Practice.
